It wasn’t until I taken my Grandson to Kona Skate Park in Jacksonville Florida, which is the oldest Skateboard Parks in the United States, that I noticed at this solid, durable material lasts excercised for fun! That calendar day I seen concrete in a recent light and rightly so. Kona Park has in been use for 30 years, I taken my eldest son to this park as a starting skater in 1984. In fact the legendary Skateboarder Tony Hawke at age 12 arrived to Kona in 1982! This Park is a vision for all skaters. It was so decent to look at my son the Uncle present various movements to my Grandson Searching at other fathers my son’s age, with kids of their personal skating along or at least taping their own. Also good to look at how a good deal of girls are out there in what was a predominately male sport when skating started. I seen a couple of and ask single girl who was 14 how far she was skating, and she said 11 years! She skated like it!

This park has reproduced the skateboarding in the 1960’s. Empty pools were use by teens backward then up to “street skating” course, the sidewalks, streets, curbs, and handrails of measures like the neighborhoods they lived in. Taking me backward 20 years seeing my son street skate and departing to Kona, now seeing that tradition proceed with my grandson. When you first step out the room access you would look at concrete conception all about, from the “bowls”, to the ramps, the only concrete “Snake” made and yet a serious empty swimming pool shallow and deep goal.
