Give Your Kitchen Storage theSpace it Needs

You have to take a bit slowly when you are doing kitchen renovation. Your home remodeling can be a lot expensive if not done the right way. You may also have to compete with limiting issues like the lack of enough space to fit all the things you want to have inside your kitchen. What is the next best option when kitchen remodeling is not possible? How about a pantry cabinet or kitchen pantry storage?

One must think differently and find more spaces by looking past the kitchen. You will be very happy by the amount of space that is actually available. Take a closer look at your kitchen and you will discover there are a lot of kitchen pantry storage spaces there that are not actually used. It is important that you revisit your kitchen and assess your options by looking at it from a different prospective.

You can fix your space issues by reorganizing your pantry cabinet. There are a lot of ways where you can use your pantry cabinet in a more easier way. You can trace a shelf arrangement that will ensure that there are not many spaces between heights. This is achieved by organizing the items that you put on them in similar height or size categories. You can also leave some open bottom spaces for bulky things such as food processing machines, pet foodstuffs and other items that eat up space but are not needed regularly. If you are want to store cans in your pantry cabinet, the shelves must be spaced closer together than it should be when they are still stored as boxed goods. The rule of thumb in arranging the shelves in your pantry cabinet is that you should maintain no more that 3 inches gap in between levels of the shelves. Your overall goal is to maintain order while utilizing all available storage space in your pantry.

You may also add a door rack attached to your pantry door. The area behind the door is actually one of the most overlooked spaces in the closet. You can also apply the same principle when assessing the space utilization inside each of your cabinets. You will be surprised at the amount of space that is available inside these cabinets. Look out for empty spots and try to rearrange the items inside the cabinets. You can use drawers or shelves to utilize all the space that is there. You can also add drawer spaces just like what you did with your closet door.

The next item to assess inside your pantry is the countertop. Check out the items that are found on them. Most of us need the counters free of clutter. However, you can still have things organized and avoid the clutter if you use an organizer in using the available space at your countertops. Use the correct organizers for canisters, knives and other things that are regularly used or needed.

There are other easy space solutions that may also be thought of when you are looking for available space in your pantry. The key to correct area use is to create additional space from what is presently available. A tiered corner shelf can be used in order to make more area for cookbooks and other knickknacks. You can also add furniture inside the pantry which can have a practical and aesthetic purpose. There are a lot of ways of looking for available space in your pantry. All you need is a little bit of a dreaming mind and fun.
